Of course, everything can be done with emulsion, but will the emulsion cover the installation cables if they run under the ceiling? Will we manage to make such lighting to give diffused light, because such is the best in the bathroom, especially when you use a mirror. What kind of ceiling we can afford in a bathroom is largely determined by the size, height and shape of the room.

The ceiling in the attic

Bathrooms arranged in the attic have their own unique atmosphere. A sloping wall gives you a better chance of using natural light. A lot of charm can be given by leaving the beams in view from the floodgates. However, also in this case, in the evening or at night, it is possible to obtain light scattered in various ways, for example by mounting strips of LED bulbs or sconces with panels of matt glass or panels of opaque plate on the beams. However, if the slanting wall in the bathroom in the attic does not reach the opposite vertical wall, the suspended ceiling can also work here.

Modern suspended ceilings

Their aesthetic effect is largely determined by the surface of the ceiling, because the suspension with lighting does not have to be rectangular at all. It may, for example, be oval and be a kind of elevated plasterboard panel fixed on its edges to a more durable building material, for example concrete. Although the ceiling can also be suspended from the rods if the lighting is hidden between the lower and upper parts, so that it is maximally dispersed.

An interesting effect is given by the combination of spotlights mounted in the suspension and the use of invisible (hidden at the top) light in a different color that brightens the sides of the ceiling. In addition, suspended ceilings can be shaped in several levels and in several colours. Another variant can be a ceiling suspension made of matt translucent panel. Both the access to different types of materials and the form of the ceiling are almost unlimited.

Also suspended, but different...

One of the latest curiosities of the building is the stretch ceiling, similar to the building foil. The foil can be ordered in various colours and shapes, even with an overprint. After placing an order, the particular shape is trimmed with rubber grips. As far as backlighting is concerned, in this case the best choice is the LEDs in the stripes, both in terms of energy savings and because it does not generate high temperature.

There are certainly more ways to use bathroom ceilings, but these proposals also offer unlimited possibilities.
