Contrary to appearances, bed linen is an important element to choose from right after the mattress. After all, at least half of your life is spent in the bedroom, in bed. Choosing the right bedding will ensure comfortable rest.

And although you choose bedding mainly according to the style, other parameters should be considered first. But of course it's good to have a pattern and colour that matches the style of the interior and the frame of the bed. In modern interiors, geometric patterns will work best, and in classic interiors, mummy flower patterns will look good.

Size matters

The most commonly used are duvets with dimensions of 140 x 200 cm or 140 x 220 cm. Now, however, there is no problem with buying completely custom sizes such as 200 x 200 cm or even as big as 220 x 240 cm (a good size for those who still have to fight for a duvet with their partners). Cushions are also available in a variety of sizes, so there's no need to limit yourself.

What kind of material?

This is the most important element in the choice of bedding. The best material will be natural cotton. It evacuates moisture and is soft, well heated and springy. The only downside is that you're bending fast. However, such a disadvantage is nothing compared to the advantages. It is also easy to clean and can be washed in 60 degrees. Another material may be a flannel, which is made of cotton. It insulates well, is pleasant to the touch, has good heating properties and remains smooth after washing for longer. Unfortunately, the flannel is harder to maintain. To maintain its softness you need to use special softeners.

Microfibre sheets

You can also find bed linen made of microfibre, which consists of 90%. The rest is viscose. Microfibre is made of cellulose, it is strong, it has good absorption properties, which makes it look like cotton. It cools pleasantly in summer and maintains temperature in winter.

Another material is the crepe. Very popular. You don't have to iron it, and that's a big plus. It is very absorbent and great in body thermal insulation. A shortcoming can be a touch experience, not for everyone it will be pleasant.

Satin, on the other hand, will be great for those who appreciate a nice touch. It is glossy, delicate and has good insulation properties, and all this is due to the way it is made - it is woven from worsted yarn. This type of bedding should be washed on the left side, then the satin will maintain its shape and condition. It's great for summer because it's a little cool to the touch.

Sheets, on the other hand, are usually made of jersey, which is a knitted fabric, not a fabric. The advantage is she's softer than satin.

It is rare to find linen bedding today. Its advantage is that more often the prana becomes softer than it was at the beginning. It is perfect for allergy sufferers because it does not have the ability to attract dust. For those who don't like ironing, linen will not be the most suitable, it's very crumpled and you have to iron it. Len is ideal for summer nights because it gives the impression of a cooling material.

No matter what type of bedding you choose, it should be properly maintained. Therefore, it is worth reading the labels and follow the recommendations.
